Proud to be an American

I love love the 4th of July. Jordan thinks I get a little silly and over bored on this holiday, but it's one of my favorites... I just can't help it.. This year we celebrated it with a BBQ at Jordan's grandma and grandpa Brown's... So many choices of yummy food and fun games, then we had our own little fire work show and played with sparklers.

Something Exciting!

On May 11, 2013 Jordan and I Celebrated our first year together and it was such a fun fun day! And two days later we received some very exciting news... At first I thought "No, No!.. not true." But later I got the exact same answer. And after the shock and nerves calmed, I got very excited and called Jordan to inform him of our exciting news...

Yes we are expecting
  January 20, 2014

So to inform our families, we bought Jordan this shirt and just had him wear it to see how long and who would be the first to notice.
We headed to breakfast to meet up with my family and we made sure to be fashionably late to make sure all eyes would be on us when walking in... and before we could even take a seat my brother TJ asked, "Are you guys trying to tell us something?" and my little sister Amber just started snapping her fingers. Then mom started crying and it was a  fun experience.
That night we headed to Jordan's parents house to see if they would get it.. When we walked in, his sister Carlie laughed and said, "Jordan you need to have a baby first before you can wear that shirt." and it ended there for about 45 min. then Jordan and I started giggling to each other and decided we better help them out. Five more minutes and Jordan's sister Carlie was the first to notice we were trying to say something. Then it was just excited cheers.

10 weeks
Now I always told myself I wouldn't put a sonogram up but its so different and fun when its your own. So I'm sorry.. kind of.
We had our first appointment last Monday on the 24th and it was just amazing to hear peanuts little heart beat. There is something actually there! And then to be able to actually see little peanut. it was just such an amazing experience. Even though I was terrified. It was the best!
But this is our little peanut. Already such a wiggler and a thumb sucker.. uh oh.

I am 11 weeks now. Almost done with the first Trimester

Catching Up

A lot has happened sense November, so I'll do a quick catching up to bring you up to date.

  • So we headed to Salt Lake in December and moved in with Jordan's grandparents. They were so nice to us and took care of us a lot more than they needed.
  • Shortly after we found an apartment in Sandy and we are still there. We love our ward we are in right now, such great people.
  • This was our first time living on our own since we have been married and we were ecstatic. But you better believe we had the full on force of the "first years the hardest" in just a couple of months. But the great thing about being in love, is that none of the matters. As soon as we got our differences figured we have forgotten all about those months. And now we can say we think we have a pretty great life right now!
  • On May 11 we celebrated our first year together. Its crazy how fast time has gone, yet we look back and realize everything we've done and accomplished and think, yup it has been a year. Crazy!
  • We were wanting to move back to Vernal at the end of this month, but things... or people have done everything in there power to make sure we stay here. And now we are. We miss Vernal so much and can't wait for the day we get to move back to our beautiful town. But we need to be here in the city. We don't know why yet... But why ask questions, just trust and follow.

So now you are caught up. There are some very fun and excited things happening here in the very near future... I'll be better at updates :)
